Description
POSITION:
- Full-time Native English Teacher for Secondary School
- The Secondary English Department of Shanghai Korean School is looking for qualified EFL teachers to begin on the 1st of March, 2026.
- Candidates must be able to work Mon—Fri, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
- Teachers are responsible for up to 22 teaching hours per week, with the remaining time being devoted to lesson planning and departmental duties. Classes are 45-50 minutes in length.
- Our school is located in the international school district of Min Hang District, Songze Avenue Road, Metro Line 17. City-wide buses are provided to the surrounding districts JiuTing, YangPu, and ChangNing.
Requirements
- Minimum Baccalaureate University degree (Education or English preferred), which can be provided in original copy and authenticated
- CELTA, TESOL, or TEFL certificate
- Native English Speaker - Must be a passport holder of one of the following countries as per Chinese work visa requirements (UK, US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, or South Africa)
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience preferred

Salary and Benefits:
Monthly salary is non-negotiable.
- Details: o 20K+ RMB basic salary (before tax)
Plus:
- 7400rmb housing allowance paid every 3 months (without any aid from the spouse’s company)
- Qualification raise based on degree and certificates up to 1K
- Free school lunch and free use of school buses, depending on the route (no return buses 1-2 times annually, like a field trip)
- Working laptop provided (return it after use by contract date)
- Two bonuses are provided each year
- Annual holiday bonus paid once per year in the amount of the full basic salary
- Performance bonus paid annually according to the school’s performance bonus payment plan
- Fully paid summer & winter holiday (4-5 weeks each)
