Job Title: Private Chef (for a UHNW Family based in Dubai)
Reports To: Family Principals
Schedule: Full-time, flexible (including weekends, holidays, and travel)
We are seeking an exceptional Private Chef with a proven background in luxury hotels (5-star) or Michelin-starred establishments to manage all culinary operations for a high-profile European UHNW family. The ideal candidate is a culinary artist who combines technical precision with the ability to deliver restaurant-quality dining in an intimate, private setting daily.
This role requires absolute discretion, cultural awareness, and the ability to cater to diverse palates, dietary restrictions, and impromptu entertaining.
Key Responsibilities
Menu Development & Execution
- Design and execute daily menus for family meals, formal dinner parties, and private events (up to 50 guests).
- Demonstrate mastery of international cuisines (Cantonese, French, or Italian) while accommodating specific family preferences.
- Create bespoke tasting menus and themed dining experiences comparable to a fine-dining restaurant.
Dietary & Nutritional Management
- Expertly prepare meals for allergies, intolerances, and lifestyle diets (gluten-free, dairy-free, keto, plant-based, etc.).
- Collaborate with nutritionists or health consultants as needed to align meals with wellness goals.
Kitchen Operations & Hygiene
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including inventory management and sourcing premium ingredients from local and international purveyors.
- Maintain 5-star hygiene standards in compliance with Dubai Municipality food safety regulations.
- Manage kitchen equipment, ensure proper maintenance, and coordinate deep-cleaning schedules.
Event & Travel Support
- Plan and execute menus for private gatherings, festive celebrations, and VIP dinners.
- Be available to travel internationally with the family (on private jets/yachts) to prepare meals at secondary residences or during vacations.
Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with household staff (butlers, nannies, household manager) to ensure seamless service.
- Train and supervise any assistant chefs or kitchen helpers as required.
Requirements
Profile & Qualifications
- Minimum 8–10 years of culinary experience, with at least 3–5 years in a luxury 5-star hotel or a Michelin-starred restaurant.
- Prior experience as a Private Chef for an HNW/UHNW family is highly desirable (not a must, though).
- Degree or diploma from a recognized culinary institute (e.g., Le Cordon Bleu, CIA).
- Valid Food Safety / HACCP certification.
- Strong understanding of seasonal, organic, and sustainable sourcing.
- Professional, polished demeanor with excellent communication skills in English.
- Absolute discretion and confidentiality (NDA required).
- Chinese National is highly desired. Other nationalities are welcome too.
