From December 2026 till August 2027, we are looking for a maternity replacement for the position of General Manager China – Knitwear Development and Production. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 35 employees, including merchandising, quality, logistics, warehousing, and accounting departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• In weekly meetings with your team, you will be closely following all operational processes from product development, over pricing, production planning, inspection, till the finished products are ready to ship to the customers
• You will lead and animate customer sales and design meetings to guide your team and clients through potential questions and risks, pointing by minimizing the language barrier
• You’ll maintain and develop strong partnerships with our partner knitters with a good understanding of different cultural practices
• You will take the lead on potential issues such as claims or delays, and will get in direct contact with customers and factories to solve the problem in a diplomatic and cost-effective manner
• You will teach, train, and motivate the team to improve their abilities, such as time management, learn new tools or tasks, improve their communication skills with customers and suppliers, etc to have each team member evolve and bring them to a higher level
• You’ll be accessible and follow up on daily operations while always maintaining the view of the big picture by anticipating and preventing any kind of problem. Stressful situations do not scare you, and you have a problem-solving mindset. 
• You are a team player and will find a way to involve the appropriate people of your team in important decisions while sharing concerns on a regular basis with top management of each entity. This means partnering with the managers of each branch and top management
• You have a natural federative spirit and can make sure the teams are properly and rightly staffed. You will recruit and headhunt good profiles preventively and when needed.
• You are passionate about beautiful products; you understand knitwear and always strive to bring developments and productions to the next level. You have a real product sensitivity, and you are able to transform our customers’ needs into concrete products.
• You also strive to bring the company to the next level in terms of revenues, margins, and reputation.

Reporting:

• You will report directly to the owners of the Maestro Group, including the CFO and CEO 
• You will have 4 direct subordinates to manage a total team of 35 employees in Maestro China

• University/college degree, preferably in textile engineering/international trade/ Supply Chain or equivalent
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in office management, preferably in the textile industry 
• Proven ability to manage customer as well as supplier relations and understand the dynamics of the supply chain
• Understanding of garment manufacturing processes, preferably of knitwear products, is an advantage
• You are an excellent communicator; written and oral English is a must. French and Chinese language knowledge is a plus
• You are trained to work with Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Outlook, Teams 
• You are results-driven, highly organized, and able to prioritize workloads with competing priorities and deadlines.
