Description
We are looking for an experienced part-time North America Economic Researcher to provide in-depth, frontline economic intelligence for the group’s research and decision-making. The role involves conducting on-the-ground research across key U.S. regions, tracking macro and micro economic trends, building professional networks with local industry players, analysts, and stakeholders, and delivering real-time, high-quality insights on the North American economy, policies, supply chains, and market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and analyze North American macroeconomic indicators, monetary & fiscal policies, industrial trends, employment, inflation, and overall economic cycle dynamics.
- Conduct irregular on-site research in the United States to verify data, grasp grassroots economic conditions, and capture first-hand market signals.
- Establish and maintain stable connections with local economists, industry experts, enterprise operators, trade bodies, and market participants to obtain exclusive and timely information.
- Conduct research on key sectors, including commodity markets, supply chains, agriculture, manufacturing, and trade, that are highly relevant to the group’s business.
- Prepare structured research reports, weekly/monthly updates, trend forecasts, and strategic suggestions for management.
- Support the company’s business planning, risk control, and decision-making with independent and objective overseas economic research.
- Complete research projects and assignments as scheduled with high quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Economics, Finance, International Trade, Economic Statistics, or related fields.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in economic research, macro analysis, industry research, overseas market research, or consulting.
- Deep understanding of the U.S. economic system, policy framework, data system, and market operation logic.
- Fluent in English in listening, speaking, reading, and writing; able to work independently in the U.S. for communication, interviews, and research.
- Strong information gathering, network development, and on-site investigation capabilities.
- Able to accept irregular business travel to the United States based on project needs.
- Rigorous logical thinking, excellent report writing, and data analysis skills; self-driven and responsible.
