Little known fact: Zhongshan Park contains a huge Cantonese restaurant that serves up discounted dim sum from 9.30am-4pm daily to hundreds of happy grandmas, grandpas, and anyone else. This is your classic big room Chinese restaurant, with huge windows looking out at the dancers and other characters in the park. The dim sum isn't the best in town, but it's a serious bargain and the vibe is great. 3-4 people could gorge themselves here for around 60-70rmb per person, maybe less. Service is good, too. And after all that food, you can wander around the park, look at all the flowers, and even lay in the grass -- Zhongshan Park is one of the few that lets people do that. Monday-Fri, dim sum is 12% off before 2pm, and 30% off from 2-4pm.
