People Squared is Shanghai's first coworking space company, founded in 2010. They now have a dozen locations throughout the city. Their Yuyuan Lu location, Maker Center (not to be confused with Maker Center 15 on the 15th floor) is a two-floor coworking space next to Co. Cheese and Cinnaswirl. It's a bit spartan, but it's got the usual amenities; kitchens, meeting spaces, free beer, coffee and snacks for members and a cat room. Just a room with cats. Prices are cheaper than in most Western coworking spaces in the city.
