One of the biggest nightclubs in Shanghai, it has two floors, 3,000 square meters of partying space with an industrial look. TAXX is owned by Shanghainese actor Zheng Kai, a high-profile celeb among younger Chinese audience and frequently spotted on many popular reality shows. This place seems to be catering to the wealthier young Chinese who like to hang out or hope to hang out with some local TV celebrities. The club features a 12-meter long bar serving cocktails priced around 80rmb, and a few private VIP rooms. The stage is big, covered by massive LED screens and hologram projectors, along with your standard epilepsy-inducing flashing lights. TAXX doesn't have a fixed theme for what kind of music they are going to play, but it will mostly be Top 100 DJs and some local underground acts.
