A small tea house focused on traditional Japanese tea and specialty coffees. Pricy, but great quality. It’s hidden on the quieter side of Changle Lu, with three floors. Top floor is a semi-private tatami room, the second one has a view of the street and can sit around 5-7 people and the first floor is cramped with fancy tea wares, coffee machines and all kinds of gadgets on display. The owners are Japanese tea and matcha nerds, who carefully brew tea and serve it in a bowl on a wooden tray. They have a handful of green teas, matcha and coffee. The matcha they use is Tenju from Marukyu-Koyamaen, Tennouzan and Ogurayama from Yamamasa Koyamaen, available either thin or thick. The same Japanese preference in coffee too; Horiguchi (No.1 and No.7) and Harar, also served in tea bowls. The tea is priced 25rmb and above, coffee is around 23rmb to 38rmb.
