Cozy/compact upstairs bar in Xintiandi, this one's a joint-effort from Shanghai's speakeasy-granddady Shingo Gokan and his longtime colleague/rival(?), Steve Schneider, who's famous for a host of bars in New York and Singapore, and makes drinks way faster than Shingo. They're the eponymous Odd Couple. The cocktail menu's designed to be a mirror: Steve made a cocktail according to a taste profile, and then Shingo made his own interpretation. They start at 110rmb and go up from there. It's set in a very red, retro-futuristic 80's inspired environment, mostly standing-roomb.
