Much like it's more famous (and touristy) Huxi Mosque Muslim market, this one is also outside a mosque but it's much cleaner; the food looks cleaner, the environment is cleaner and you don’t have to deal with many tourists. It’s mostly Uighur residents. The market is pretty big too. It takes up a Pudong city block, with many more vendors. You get your steamed pumpkin and lamb dumplings, tons of chuanr, zhua fan, rice pilaf with fatty lamb, plus tons of dried dates and raisins and walnuts and handicrafts.
