Tiny shop on Changle Lu selling one of Chengdu's most revered street snacks, dan hong gao (蛋烘糕), those mini crepes cooked in miniature pans and stuffed with sweet or savory fillings like sour beans and pork or nutella. This place is cleaner and uses better ingredients than any street cart you're likely to find in Chengdu, so these cost a bit more, ranging from 8rmb up to 28rmb for a luxury version with crab. The place is called "kick tree" because supposedly these dan hong gao are so good that you'll want to kick a tree after sampling them. They're definitely worth trying, plus the staff are friendly and the spot is definitely ready for photos, if you're into that. They also have sweet dessert soups.
