China's first museum dedicated to contemporary glass art, highlighting the transition of glass from a purely industrial substance to a decorative medium of art. Beginning in the 19th Century, their private collection illustrates the rediscovery of the Pate de Verre technique during the Art Nouveau period with an emphasis on key artists. The showcase continues into contemporary glass work from all over the world. Temporary exhibitions feature international guest artists, they have hosted France’s national treasure: a Maitre d'Art, Antoine Leperlier and Venetian legend, Lino Tagliapietra. Their permanent exhibition showcases the most recent works by Loretta Yang and Chang Yi who have single-handedly revitalized the art of Chinese LiuLi and placed it firmly on the global stage.
