Hongkou House of Hope (HHH) is a small Chinese non-profit organization located in Hongkou district, dedicated to improving the lives and wellbeing of adults with disabilities in China. Through a wide range of sociocultural and educational activities, their goal is to make the community feel loved, appreciated and a part of society, fight for their independence, support parents and carers, and motivate the Shanghai community to help others and spread happiness. Their funding comes from fundraising events organized by themselves, and sponsorship from individuals and companies. Every activity’s budget varies, ranging from 2,000 to 9,000rmb, depending on the nature, location and duration of the event, material needed, and amount of beneficiaries, volunteers and carers.
