It has many names among Shanghai residents: "Original Chuan," "Original Sichuan," "Original Taste," "Ben Lai". It's pretty popular among both long-time residents and industry types for its exceedingly spicy dishes. Nice place to take people who say they like spicy things, or just someone craving some "authentic Sichuan." Recommendations include mapo tofu with pig brain, the sijidou, the yibin ranmian and the damayu (big spicy fish).
