Here's something weird: this chain of North Korean restaurants has been open for at least twelve years in Shanghai. Most of their staff are originally from North Korea, and it's rumored to be operated by the North Korean state. Whether or not these rumors are true (they are), they serve Korean-style BBQ beef, traditional cold dishes, and ginseng and herb infused alcohol. At 7pm, they have live song and dance performance, like a mini Arirang.
