LAMDA EXAMINATIONS

Spotlight Theatre School is the official LAMDA Examinations Representative in Shanghai offering students training in both the Communication and Performance LAMDA Examination syllabi. LAMDA ( London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) is one of the UK’s most prestigious drama schools offering performance-based examinations. Students from 5yrs are eligible to enter for their LAMDA Examination.

LAMDA Examinations are recognised educational qualifications and are accredited as an Awarding Body by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) in England. The higher level examinations award UCAS points (for university entry in the UK). As an example, a Distinction or a Merit award at Grade 8 is worth the same university points as an A grade at AS level.

Spotlight Theatre School is proud to offer its students the opportunity to take exams in both the Communication and Performance syllabi. The LAMDA Examination syllabi forms the foundation of many of our courses, as it provides a structured framework from which our students can learn new performance skills, techniques and theory-based knowledge of their chosen discipline. The LAMDA Exam experience also provides a confidence-enhancing performance platform for our students.
