A cozy and stylish yakitori place that stays open till late and is popular among neighborhood residents and groups from Shanghai Theatre Academy just down the street. They serve a big menu of popular yakitori items, along with casual Japanese cold dishes at reasonable prices, for example: Beef tongue is at 20rmb, and chicken meatball is at 12rmb. Beers are cheap at around 25rmb and they've got highballs and other simple drinks as well. One drink worth trying is their half-beer-half-tomato-juice. There's also a little bit of French influence, including some snails, and the menu is also in French. Seats fill up quickly every night, and they don't take reservations, so try to arrive early or late (but call ahead to see when the last order is). One nice aspect of this place is they have a few seats on the sidewalk, so it's a great place to enjoy a drink and some dishes on the street.
