Opened in 2014, Mao Space has relocated a few times and now hides in a lane house on Jianguo Xi Lu. The place has nothing to do with Mao Livehouse but serves as an independent art gallery with both domestic and international exhibitions, offering a platform particularly for young artists to exchange knowledge and present their works. Mao is worth checking out even just for the sake of its stylish look and beautiful surroundings.
