A small neighborhood park now occupies what used to be the runway of Longhua Airport, which served as the city's airport until the 1950s when Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport opened. The park has gained popularity among Instagrammers for its lawn, designed by the firm Asaki (previously featured on the SmartShanghai Buzz).
