Ha;lu Korean Bistro is located on the first floor of the former ARS & DELECTO on JinXian Rd. (near ShanxiNan Rd.). Opening its doors just a few months ago in June 2021, the place is already packed with people. According to David, a friendly Korean manager, for a fair service to everyone, the restaurant has a policy that customers receive a waiting ticket and get served upon all guests arrive. Thus, just for the heads up, no reservation is available. It appears that Korean spicy rice cake is the most popular food but they also have different selections, such as Korean pancake with different flavors (Kimchi, Cheese potato, Seafood, etc.), Bulgogi, and traditional stews. The food menu is written in Korean + Chinese, and the drinks menu is in English. People who feel more comfortable with English can find the Korean manager, David, to ask for explanations and recommendations on the food. Ha;lu opens at 5 pm every day until 11 pm (Friday and Saturday open until 12 am). The last food order is 10 pm (Friday and Saturday are 11 pm). It’s a cozy place with a warm tone of lighting. Nicely selected pop songs go well with dinner. Wi-Fi is currently unavailable. Ha;lu can be a good option for a small group of friends or a couple who want to grab a cocktail (or a nightcap) after dinner as there is a bar, ARS & DELECTO, on the second floor directly connected to the restaurant. Just for reference, the bar opens at 6 pm except Monday.
