“TAMSIK JUYI” is a Korean local restaurant and pub located on No.1001, West Nanjing Rd. It opens from 5:30 pm to 2 am every day. Their signature menus are gamja-tang (a spicy pork back-bone stew containing potatoes, noodles, and vegetables), spicy rice cake, Kimchi stew, and crispy chicken. Opening its doors just last month in September 2021, the place is already packed with local Chinese people as well as Korean expats. Restaurant staff include both Chinese and Koreans. English service is also provided upon request. As they open after 5 pm, there is currently no lunch menu nor happy hour but the owner mentioned that may change in the future. Stay tuned. The space can suit about 60 people. The wifi is working well and the music (K-pop) is not too loud. It’s a good spot for a group of friends or colleagues. They have a small bar in the corner (no seating) where bartenders make cocktails. Among other drinks, Korean highball seems to be popular. The restaurant is first-come, first-served. No reservation is available at the moment.
