HALO — no relation to the famous video game but may as well be — is one part sci-fi spectacle, one part technological marvel, and the rest of the parts straightforward by-the-numbers Continental restaurant. Coming from the terrain that Ultraviolet surveyed, HALO combines lighting and video installations, laser projectors, and decor wrested from the set of "The Fifth Element” in the presentation of a dining experience that is from another dimension. The food is high-end French-slash-Italian, served à la carte, plated for photography and posting. Menu items tick off all the requisite boxes: burrata, seafood risottos, and beef tenderloins. A large communal dining area is there for the spectacle and show, with private rooms for high rollers.
