The most unfortunate aspect of the Grand Mercure Baolong Hotel is its location. Situated in the eastern part of the city, it's not close to any of the main tourist or business sites. What is does have in its proximity are 3 of Shanghai's universities. With Shanghai International, Fudan, and Tongji University all situation within a short distance, the hotel is popular choice for family and friends visiting students. The hotel is big and staff are welcoming; it's just a shame about all the taxi journeys you'll have to take.
