Built in 1987, Shanghai's train station on the Northside is huge, complete with a [not great] fake market downstairs, a glasses market and cell phone market just outside, and several shops and restaurants in the area. You can get here via lines 1, 3, and 4, though a cab here shouldn't take more than 30 minutes from downtown. Watch your pockets around here. Tickets are available across the street. Getting around here can be a bit confusing, so give yourself sufficient time. Bring your passport.
