Eight Blessings Inn is located in Shen'ao Village, Tonglu County, Hangzhou. It is approximately a one-hour drive from Hangzhou and a three-hour drive from Shanghai. For those traveling by high-speed train, Tonglu Station is the closest, and a 20-minute taxi ride will take you directly to the inn. When driving, simply search for "Shen'ao Village Cultural Hall"(深澳村文化礼堂) on Baidu or Gaode Maps. Shen'ao Village, with a history dating back to the Southern Song Dynasty over 800 years ago, is home to around 5,000 residents. In 2007, it was designated as a National Historical and Cultural Village. The village is renowned for its well-preserved Ming and Qing architecture, as well as a drainage system still in use since the Song Dynasty. The Eight Blessings Inn is housed in the Maode Hall (茂德堂), built in 1785 during the 50th year of the Qianlong Emperor's reign, making it over 200 years old. During the renovation of this historical building, the original structure was respected and preserved, blending minimalist elegance with warmth and a sense of history. The inn offers a harmonious experience where the ancient meets the modern, and the surrounding natural beauty complements the tranquil atmosphere, providing guests with a restful retreat.
