Founded in Shanghai in 2014, MCAA Contemporary Art Academy is dedicated to providing innovative education rooted in contemporary art for students aged 2 to 15. At MCAA, art is a journey toward the future.

The VAKED Five-Dimensional Art Education System
MCAA Contemporary Art Academy integrates internationally advanced art education systems with interdisciplinary STEAM education concepts. Through in-depth visits to top European and American art institutions and educational organizations by the founding team, along with systematic research and academic exchange, we innovatively developed the unique VAKED Five-Dimensional Art Education System. This system has been awarded the "Outstanding Art Education Curriculum System Award" by the National Art Education Association (NAEA) and has received high praise from numerous international education authorities.

VAKED transcends traditional curriculum frameworks; it is a system designed to cultivate the mindset and capabilities of future innovators. It guides children from perception to creation, from understanding to practice, ultimately enabling them to understand art while also gaining a deep understanding of themselves, actively perceiving the world, and confidently shaping the future.

The VAKED education system consists of the following five core dimensions, comprehensively covering the artistic growth path from perception to creation:

V - Vision Expansion
Guides students to draw inspiration from global art classics and diverse cultural backgrounds, establishing a cross-cultural aesthetic vision and understanding the relationship between art and the world.

A - Aesthetic Principles
Systematically learn fundamental aesthetic principles in art, such as form, color, composition, and space. Cultivates students' sensitivity to and ability to use visual elements, laying a solid and sharp aesthetic foundation.

K - Knowledge Advancement
Places art within contexts where humanities, technology, and society intersect, promoting the integration and sublimation of interdisciplinary knowledge in artistic creation.
