Excellent and affordable Sichuan restaurant serving up authentic, spicy classics like mapo tofu, lazi ji, bullfrog, and fish dishes, which are especially good. A great thing about this place is they’re open all day (but not as late as their Anyuan Lu shop, which is open till 2.30am). If you’re looking for a spot to get some straight-up legit Sichuan food (i.e., not fusion, not toned down) in a comfortable and homey environment, this is a good one. The vibe fits the English name “Wu’s Cooking” for sure. There’s a big fridge full of beers, soy milk, and more to peruse, too. This one is busier than the other shop; you might have to wait for a table.
