Italian cafe and bakery in the Jiaotong University neighborhood serving breads, sandwiches, coffee, gelato, and more. They've got lots of items you don't see around Shanghai too often, like maritozzo, torta caprese, pizza in teglia, and cannolis with creme. The desserts are on the lighter side in terms of sweetness, which helps to reveal their many other flavors present. The gelato brioche sandwich is real nice. Coffee is Illy, including cold brew, which they also use for drinks like their pandan coffee. The space itself, spread across two floors, is airy and filled with natural light, though it feels better suited for conversations and reading than extended work sessions. There's also a long row of seats outside on Panyu Lu. Good place for a solo lunch or coffee or catching up with a friend and digging into some great desserts. They also have wine, cocktails, and Peroni.
