The Songjiang Mosque is the oldest mosque in Shanghai and one of the oldest Islamic buildings in China. Established during the Yuan Dynasty between 1341-1368 the building has undergone various redevelopments over the years, most notably during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and has only been opened to the public since 1989.
