A converted "talking bar", Not Me just off Hengshan Lu on Dongping Lu has a new emphasis on music oriented parties thrown by a few Shangahi-based independent promoters. Not Me is lots of lounge seating, a small patio, a loud, intimate dance floor, and a lot of action on their foosball table. Décor wise, it's decked out in purples and white leather, and kind of looks like a pimp robot's seduction layer, especially when they get the smoke machine going. All you can drink deals are every Monday and Tuesday, they do an Indie Rock party on Thursday, and special events are on Friday and Saturday, usually anchored around Indie Electro from both local and international DJs. Drinks are cheap to market prices, and they also do a few one-off parties a month, so check the events listings for more detailed information on what's on.
