Hong Court is a semi-private Cantonese restaurant at the ritzy Ambassy Club & Residences on Huaihai Lu. The decor is dated but the dim sum is generally excellent, and most of the clientele are members and residents who'd prefer to keep the restaurant to themselves. Officially, membership is required to dine here. In practice, it's not needed. Prices, seafood and Canto "face" dishes excluded, are exceedingly reasonable.
