Zeal is large club in the Bund 22 building, which houses a handful of upmarket bars and restaurants. It's famed for its terrace, a broad space with plenty of seating that offers fine views up the Bund and across the river to the skyline of Lujiazui. On different nights you might expect to hear house, electro or mash-up here, but hip hop is probably what's its best known for. There's also a large dancefloor, something few such clubs have in Shanghai. The overall design is angular, contemporary and minimalistic. The crowd is dressy. There's an ample menu of bottles and champagne but you can also get decent cocktails at the bar inside or out on the terrace.
