This is, as the name suggests, the place where the first meeting of the Chinese Communist Party took place, back in 1921. Here, Mao Zedong and 12 other Communist dudes founded the Party that now controls the nation. Woohoo! Ce-le-brate good times, come on! Setting the style for every Chinese state building to this day, the museum still contains the brimming ashtrays and dirty tea cups used the day of the meeting. Or maybe they're replicas. The museum is in an attractive shikumen building. There are also several galleries on other floors of the building that showcase the history of the Party.
