Cafe Zarah is a popular little cafe, wi fi spot in Gulou area, minimally stylish but still home-spun, with a range of espresso drinks, basic cocktails, homemade pastries, and gelato on offer. On a given day it's populated by an international blend of young creatives and culture types, working, meeting, interviewing, relaxing, and hanging out in a hip cafe at the center (ish) of an up-and-coming area of Beijing. There's a bit of outside seating just on the busy shopping street of Gulou Dongdajie, and service is relaxed and friendly. Look out for their visual arts exhibitions and (infrequent) live music events and parties.
