This wine, cocktail and tapas bar doubles as an art gallery. It boasts a selection of over 300 wines with enough price points to accommodate almost any budget. Cocktails are largely classics like martinis and Manhattans. Food offerings range from adequate to underwhelming. But it's the history of this place alone makes it worth a visit. It's the oldest standing building on the Bund. Built in 1860 under the Qing Dynasty, it was the headquarters for Russell & Co., a Chinese and American owned enterprise that traded in tea and opium. Almost by default the place has character. It's dark, cozy and compartmental with lots of little quiet alcoves ideal for a quiet bottle with friends.
