Glen Classic is the cocktails-concentrated expansion of popular Beijing whiskey lounge, Glen, headed up by Beijing-based drinks and drinks culture-obsessed Japanese bartender, Daiki Kanetaka. The venue itself is a stylish little shoebox of a bar, off the Face Bar courtyard, and operates in loose partnership with the Face boutique hotel.

As an addition to the heady whiskey business at Glen, Glen Classic is a paired-down approach to enjoying the finer things in life -- the menu defines "classic" as a search for the "fundamental" and "origin of new things" -- and on offer is custom cocktails suitable to all tastes and predilections. Basically, you tell Iida what sort of booze is your thing and you work it out from there. They've also got a wide range of specialty liquors and labels -- sherry, calvados, armagnac, old rum, and whiskey -- available on their own by the glass or in themed tasting sets.

Damage-wise, your looking at a basic starting price of 100rmb per cocktail and 200-500rmb for the various sets. Atmosphere is vintage classicism (smart casual dress code is stressed) and it's a posh but bubbling sort of vibe.
