Flying with your pet just got a little easier. Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport has opened a dedicated pet departure lounge in Terminal 2, giving passengers a comfortable place to wait before their flight.

The nearly 100sqm space is free to use for same-day ticket holders traveling with one pet. Inside you'll find short-term pet care, play areas, pet lockers, washing and grooming stations, plus staff who can help with travel information and guidance.

The lounge is also equipped with an air purification system and dedicated safety measures to keep both pets and owners comfortable while they wait.

Hongqiao Airport has also introduced special security screening services for passengers traveling with pets, making the whole departure process a little smoother.
