Nestled in a residential area of northern Jing'an, The Cactus is a "Mexican Cantina" that combines classic China-style Mexican restaurant decor -- big cheesy sombreros on the walls, flags of the world decals, big bright furniture, Top 40 pop on the stereos and some fairly decent Mexican food and drinks. All the usual suspects on the menu: tacos, burritos, enchiladas, nachos, jalapeno poppers, avocado salads, and more. Not really rewriting the book here but not a bad option if you're in the area and are looking to satisfy a craving.
