Delete Your SmartShanghai Account

We want every SmartShanghai member to feel in control of their data. If you no longer need your account or want to permanently remove your profile, listings, and contact information, you can start the process below. Account deletion is available worldwide and works in any modern browser, including the in-app web view used by our Android and iOS apps.

How to delete your account

1. Sign in to your SmartShanghai account on the web or inside the app.
2. Open your Account Settings → Delete Account page.
3. Review the information about what will be removed and confirm the deletion. This permanently removes your profile, saved favorites, housing listings, job postings, buy & sell listings, newsletter subscriptions, and any other personal data tied to your account. Content that was published publicly (for example, reviews or forum posts) may remain visible but will no longer show your contact details.
