If you've ever wanted to make something cute for your dog yourself, Fujiaweng (富家翁) is a cozy little pet fashion workshop in Jing'an where you can take a hands-on class and walk out with a finished outfit for your furry friends.
The experience class is 358rmb for one session (150 minutes), and it's beginner-friendly.
They provide all the tools and materials, and the class covers:
- Measuring your pet (bring your pet along for a more accurate fitting!)
- Getting to know a sewing machine and other basic tools
- Practicing stitching and cutting
- Learning how to cut, sew, and finish your own garment
Classes are 1-on-1 or in small groups (max four people), so the teacher can guide you every step of the way. If you want, they also offer longer, more systematic courses covering sewing techniques, pattern making, and pet-owner matching outfits.
