The 2014 Donmar Warehouse production of tragic epic Coriolanus with Tom Hiddleston is being screened on March 6. It has been brought back to theatres by popular demand and arrived on Shanghai screens early 2019 with 3 dates, March 6 being the final one. Received rave reviews, tickets still available. Another tragedy, Anthony & Cleopatra with Ralph Fiennes and Sophie Okonedo, has two screenings this month at the Huangpu Theatre - one on March 14 and another on March 27. Tickets range from 100-200rmb depending on where you sit. Another screening will be shown at the Shanghai Grand Theatre on March 31. The last one in March is a screening of Macbeth, again at the Huangpu Theatre on March 26. If you are not satisfied with screenings and want to smell the actors’ sweat as Shakespeare intended, then fear no more! British touring theater company TNT Theatre have 6 nights of their A Midsummer Night’s Dream production at Shanghai Grand Theatre from April 30 to May 5. Prices range from 180-380rmb. Tickets are available at each theater’s respective box office.
