If you're looking for a different way to spend your summer weekend in Shanghai, Taste of Belgium is coming to Shanghai Sea World from July 10th-12th, bringing together one of the city's largest selections of Belgian beers alongside European food, music and a relaxed outdoor atmosphere.
The event celebrates Belgium's famous beer culture while welcoming everyone, from beer enthusiasts to families, groups of friends and anyone looking for a pleasant evening by the waterfront.
Why Shanghai Sea World Makes This Festival Different
One of the things that makes Taste of Belgium unique is its location. Unlike most beer festivals held in shopping malls or parks, this event takes place at Shanghai Sea World, one of the city's most distinctive waterfront destinations.
Located beside the Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal, Shanghai Sea World welcomes cruise passengers and visitors from around the world during the season. With its waterfront setting, open-air plaza and sea views, the venue creates a summer atmosphere that feels different from most places in the city.
As the sun sets over the water, the festival turns into a lively outdoor beer garden with music, food and a relaxed international crowd.
More than 15 specialty beer booths will be serving beers ranging from well-known Belgian classics to Trappist ales, lambics and fruit beers. Whether you already know Belgian beer or simply want to discover something new, you'll find plenty to explore.

The event is designed to be easy to enjoy. Entry is free, allowing visitors to wander through the beer garden, discover different breweries, meet exhibitors and sample beers at their own pace.
Throughout the weekend, international DJs will provide music from afternoon until evening, creating a relaxed festival atmosphere rather than a traditional concert. Large communal seating areas make it easy to meet friends, while the waterfront location offers one of Shanghai's most pleasant outdoor settings during summer.
