Two nights. 18 DJs playing techno, bass, hardcore, house, disco, and more. Four stages. A makeup station with artists on hand to create your look. Late-night food and multiple bars to keep you going. Tons of activities, surprises, and characters to encounter along the way.
This Friday and Saturday, Oct 30-31, System — one of Shanghai's biggest underground promoters — is back with a huge two-night party at their pop-up location inside a cyberpunk-themed theater called Immersive Arcane at 505 Wulumuqi Bei Lu, a 15-minute walk from Jing'an Temple.
The Space
This time, the venue has seven destinations: the Main Hall, the Block, Rift, Prison, Vessel of Dreams, the Last Drop, and Fan Deck.
The venue is normally home to an immersive theater experience based on Arcane, the animated series set in the League of Legends universe, so the production level is serious, and this place is unlike anywhere else in town.
So yeah, you warp into this building and pretty much forget where you are for the night. Lose yourself in the Main Hall. Explore the corners of the Block and the Rift. Step into the space between reality and imagination at Vessel of Dreams. Slip away from the dance floor and into the Last Drop. Maybe head up to the Fan Deck for a view of the action. Or venture into the newly unlocked Prison on the second floor, where a new DJ booth brings the party behind bars.
The Music
Across four stages, DJs from Shanghai's underground scene and beyond like Öil Nature, Spada, YKK, SpaceReturn, Floating, and many more are spinning techno, bass, house, disco, hardcore, and more.
Big production, loads of music across different rooms, and plenty of peeps to meet. If that's your idea of a good night out, System's got you covered this weekend.
