Maison Margiela has taken over part of the street with a row of shipping containers. Inside full-on couture pieces. Outside cherry blossoms. It's a weird mix, but it works.

You just walk in and wander around. No tickets, no lines (well... depends), no explanation panels screaming at you. Just clothes, some old, some brand new, including that famous porcelain plate vest from the early days and a waxy gown from their latest show here.

Some pieces feel almost thrown together, others super delicate. A lot of it sits somewhere between fashion and art project, which is kind of the point.

It's also very... Shanghai. Random high-concept thing, suddenly on a normal street, everyone stopping for photos, then it disappears again a few days later.

Feels a bit like they dropped a temporary fashion playground in the middle of the city and didn't overthink it.

It's only there for a few days, then gone.

Yandang Road. April 2–6. Open daily from 10:00 to 20:00. Free entry.
