About

Green Initiatives presents their August film screening: 'Garbage Dreams' a documentary film made in 2009, directed and produced by Mai Iskander. This film shows a village on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt that has become a kind of model for the world: recycling 80% of all the waste they collect. Registration for the event starts at 6.30pm and the film starts at 7.15. After the film there will be a panel discussion as well as a networking opportunity, wraps up around 9.30pm. Costs 20rmb for students, for the rest of us: early bird tickets are 50rmb, RSVP on the website, or else it's 100 at the door.
