I Am Tango tells a story of a man named Tango, whose essence is represented by a bandoneon, a type of concertina popular in Uruguay and Argentina essential within Tango dance. Tango and his bandoneon go back in time to explore the origins of Tango dance and how it becomes a key part of Argentinian culture, and questions his essence about the evolution of the genre on a duet that will take them to explore different times, facets, situations and cultures. The Tango genre is fused with classical dance, jazz, folklore and contemporary dance, as the 28 professional tango dancers create a mesmeric balance between traditional tango and a tango show.
