MXGP 2024, the world's premier motocross racing event, the highlight of closed-course, off-road motorcycle racing, is coming to Shanghai after its Shanghai premiere 2019. It is renowned globally alongside F1, WRC, and MOTOGP, which will be held at Shanghai's 336-acre Motocross Circuit in Fengxian. See the culmination of 20 stations and 1,862 races, involving more than 30 teams from more than 20 countries, with more than 70 champion drivers going head-to-head on the dirt track. The races themselves will be surrounded by music stages, high-performance motorcycle demonstrations and exhibitions, professional test drives, and much more.

Motorcycle off-road masters from all over the world will gather together, driving their roaring chariots, shuttling through mud and sand, just to compete for the supreme glory!

The event will attract more than 30 teams and about 70 riders from more than 20 countries and regions to compete in three categories: MXGP (450CC), MX2 (250CC), and Youth Group (85CC).

Among them, the MXGP group will welcome five-time world champion, Slovenian driver Tim Geiser, French national team captain and previous World Championship winner Romain Fabre, Jorge Prado, a young talent who was born in the 2000’ s, five-time world champion, Dutch driver Jeffrey Herlings who is known as the 'Bullet' on the track and many more world-famous names from across the sport.

The M2 group will be full of youthful passion and dynamism, with Liam Everts, son of the legendary 9-time world champion Steve Everts, and Andrew Adamo, the disciple of the 8-time world champion Antonio Cairoli of Italy, both making their debuts. Meanwhile, Chinese drivers, as the host country, will also participate in the highest level of competition in this motocross event and strive for wildcard qualification.

The MXGP China Shanghai Station will be held at the Shanghai International Off-Road Circuit in Fengxian District, which is a venue built specifically for the MXGP China Station. It has the only motorcycle off-road track in China that meets the FIM standards. The track is about 2 kilometers long, with a total of 16 ramps, the highest of which is 4.5 meters, and the maximum span is 60 meters, in the shape of the Chinese character '贤'.

The event coincides with the Mid-Autumn Festival. During the event, in addition to the exciting competition brought by the world's top drivers, the organizer will create a national carnival event with the theme of '“Watch The Event And Visit Fengxian!', with fancy motorcycle performances, electronic music performances, Shanghai intangible cultural heritage project displays, 'Haiguo Night Market', 'Beautiful Valley Shopping Fun Trend Collection' and so on throughout the event.
