Cc Foundation at M50 is having a solo exhibition with new works by American post-conceptual artist Cory Archangel. Topline puts together 14 of his new works which together form a site-specific installation. They are based on widely available textiles, which were scanned and printed in ultraviolet ink on 68 different IKEA tabletops and show different types of leggings, sweatpants, track pants, and jeans. In each work, details such as the waistband, pockets, zippers, and logos are combined and reassembled to become a collage of contemporary mainstream fashion as well as an aesthetic reflection of the time in which we live. Arcangel urges the viewer to question the relationship between cultural production, human development and the advancement of technology. Free.
