This Saturday, Wine Lips and China Social Club are launching their natural Chardonnay at the Mikkeller Tasting Room. Khawa Karpo is a small batch of Chardonnay made in October 2019 by China Social Club DJs Frau, PCJ, and his brother, Ruben, all under the watchful gaze of the Meilixueshan mountain range in Yunnan. There will be tastings of Khawa Karpo and a few different local Chinese Pet Nats from the Fermentation/Petite Garden crew of winemakers. They will also be handing out short stories, telling of how the wine was made (from the perspective of the yeast cells and other microbes). Finally, there will be a quiz about wine on the winelipschina Instagram to keep people busy while they drink. No tickets. Wines are all 50rmb per glass,for drink-ins and take aways. This is the only chance to taste these wines as they are a small-batch and once they’re gone, they’re gone forever.
