Shanghai Grand Theatre returns with timeless and the most prominent ballet performance — Swan Lake, how exciting that is! Back in 2016, Shanghai Grand Theater and Shanghai Ballet premiered a grand version by Derek Deane, original 16 and 24 swan performers were expanded to 48. Packed with dazzling highlights, the show has received an enormous acclaim. Six years later, it is brought back by Shanghai Grand Theater and performed again by Shanghai Ballet. Its director Derek Deane, is a former principal dancer of the Royal Ballet and former artistic director of English National Ballet, who has gained notable credits for the Swan Lake in-the-round (1997) and Romeo & Juliet (1998) at the Royal Albert Hall.
